The Dakshina Kannada District Cooperative Milk Union Ltd has donated Rs 10 lakh to the flood relief works in Uttarakhand.
A press release by the union said here that the primary milk producers’ cooperative societies under its jurisdiction and the union contributed the money. The cheque was handed over to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Bangalore on July 16.
The Dakshina Kannada district in-charge Minister B. Ramanatha Rai was present on the occasion, it said.
