Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Mr Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has asked officials of power department to speed up work towards providing round-the-clock electricity to people.
“The State Government has spent Rs 10,000 crore for streamlining the power sector and it should be ensured that its benefits reach the common man with improvement of power supply and minimisation of distribution losses,” he told a workshop of energy department’s field officers here on Monday.
Mr Chouhan claimed remarkable increase has been registered in power generation and farmers’ are also satisfied with the power supply. Power is vital for development and feeder separation work should be expedited and completed within time-limit since it is a priority sector of the State Government, he said.
Every possible effort should be made to complete feeder separation work in all the districts by March 2013, he said.
