State IT Minister N. Lokesh, who assumed charge recently, has promised to the IT industry in the city and the State that he will make all efforts to remove constraints impeding the growth of the industry and create the right eco system.

He was interacting with the IT entrepreneurs here on Saturday evening after visiting the IT companies and the Millennium IT tower under construction at Rushikonda earlier in the day.

He said the construction of the tower would be completed by October. He said efforts were on to generate one lakh jobs in the sector and Visakhapatnam would emerge as the IT hub.

Rushikonda IT park association vice-president O. Naresh Kumar sought free bandwidth of 100 MBPS for small and medium companies and one GBPS for large companies for two years and open access to buy clean renewable power directly from grid and energy providers even for small companies.

Some of the entrepreneurs wanted reimbursement of Rs 7,500 per employee within a year of recruitment to meet the costs. Under the new IT policy, they sought free bus passes for IT workers for one year, reimbursement of amount paid by the management towards ESI and provident fund and other incentives.

The minister promised them that all the issues and demands raised by the entrepreneurs would be considered positively and the Government would extend them maximum help.
