Ola, a mobile app for transportation, is to offer rides starting at Rs 6 per km in Mumbai for Ola Share.
“With Ola Share, we are addressing the need for reliable and affordable mobility solutions, at scale. For users, there is the convenience of an air-conditioned cab ride at 50 per cent of the fare, and an option to share it within identified social groups,” said Ishan Gupta, Category Head-Shared Mobility, Ola.
“Ola Share has far reaching benefits like reduced pollution and congestion free roads that result in cleaner and greener cities.” he added.
Ola Share is an urban commute option, where a ride can be shared by up to three people at any point in time. Customers stand to save as much as 50 per cent on the entire trip cost.
