The death toll due to spread of swine flu in Telangana has risen to 63 so far this year, an official statement from the State Government said.
More than 5620 samples were tested from the beginning of the year, out of which 1801 were found to be positive.
On March 8, 96 samples were tested, of which 31 were found to be positive.
The number of positive cases reported in the last six days was 63, 26, 42, 51, 32 and 31, the statement added.
It sought to reassure people that adequate stocks of medicines and testing kits were available at the district and teaching hospitals.
