The job-aspirants in Telangana will have slog afresh to secure a State Government job. The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) is overhauling the recruitment system and curriculum for executive and non-executive posts under the Group I, II and other II services.
According to TSPSC Chairman G Chakrapani a 26-member committee under the chairmanship of academician Haragopal has been constituted to look into various aspects of the recruitment process.
It will suggest recruitment methods for Group I, II, and other zonal and district level Government posts.
The other members of the panel included Telangana Joint Action Committee Chairman Kodandaram (Osmania University), educationist Chukka Ramaiah and Rajasekhar, former registrar of University of Hyderabad.
The formation of the panel assumed importance in view of the fact that over one lakh vacancies are identified in the government after the creation of Telangana which have to be filled by the service commission.
However, it was felt a revamp of the pattern and curriculum would be important because the syllabus of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) formulated for Government recruitment in the united Andhra Pradesh does not cover various aspects the Telangana history, culture and economy.
The panel has been asked to submit its report in three weeks. Once it is approved by the Commission and Government, suitable curriculum would be designed by experts. Meanwhile, the bifurcation of APPSC is almost completed with the allotment of 121 employees for TSPSC.
