Chennai Homes has announced its first retirement community housing project – Aishwaryam.

The project coming up at Kottaikadu in Marakkanam (near Puducherry) on the East Coast Road, comprises 104 fully-furnished single bedroom cottages. The first phase of the project, which is up for sale, has 54 ready-to-move-in cottages of various sizes between 415 sq ft and 850 sq ft.

Spread over six acres of land, the entire project is specially designed for elderly people.

Elaborating on the design, Jayashree Menon, CEO, Chennai Homes, said in addition to the interior, the enclave too is designed to take care of elderly occupants. It will include a fully-equipped vegetarian kitchen, which will offer meals for occupants, while a 24-hour crew will ensure maintenance of the area. There will also be an ayurvedic massage centre, gym, swimming pool, badminton court, a library, meditation centre, and guest houses. Besides, there will be a 24/7 medical facility with an in-house doctor and an ambulance on call.

The Chennai-based promoter is initially offering the villas in the price band of Rs 26 to Rs 42 lakh. The second phase is expected to commence soon.
