Akshaya, a Chennai-based real estate developer, has announced an exclusive online marketing association with 99acres.com, a real estate portal, to sell property worth ₹360 crore.

Both launched iHomes – an interactive online feature to assist customers to book their homes online. This virtual property portal would engage buyers, improve user experience and enable customers in decision making, said T Chitty Babu, Chairman and CEO, Akshaya.

Booking through iHomes can be done starting at ₹20,000. The partnership is for one year, he told reporters.

Chitty Babu said the company has been maintaining around 70 per cent sale in various projects. However, with volume of units going up significantly, “we don’t want to drop the average to 40-50 per cent and lose the leadership position. The online initiative is one of the measures to maintain the 70 per cent sale,” he said.

The new feature will provide additional information to users in terms of proximity to the nearest landmarks like schools, clubs, restaurants, railway stations and hospitals to take an informed decision.

The technology will give the user a 360 degree interactive 3D walk through Akshaya properties online and will also respond to user queries and doubts virtually, said Narasimha Jayakumar, Chief Business Officer, 99acres.com

iHomes will also provide unit-wise price details with a detailed breakdown of pricing and virtually view any apartment and book it online, he said.
