Olympic medallists’ wrestlers Sushil Kumar and Yogeshwar Dutt, badminton star Saina Nehwal and shooter Gagan Narang will get Audi Q5s for bringing laurels to the country.
The country’s largest realty firm DLF, in association with the Haryana Government, will felicitate the four Olympic medal winners from the state by gifting the luxury sports utility vehicle.
That apart, the company will also hand over special editions of Maruti Suzuki’s mid-sized sedan SX4 cars to 15 sportspersons from Haryana who took part in the London Olympics, but could not win any medal.
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will present the keys of the cars at a felicitation ceremony to be organised by the State Government on Sunday at Gohana, Sonipat.
India won six medals at the Olympics this time — two silver and four bronze.
DLF has been associated with other sports as well. It is the title sponsor for the Indian Premier League (IPL) since its inception. Besides, the company also promotes golf.
