TAPMI Manipal has bagged the gold award at the Indian Management Conclave’s (IMC) awards for excellence in management education at the Ninth Indian Management Conclave (IMC) 2018 here on Saturday.

TAPMI bagged the award under Pedagogy for Developing Job Competencies in MBAs by presenting a case study titled ‘Leadership Assessment and Development Centre (LADC)’ by Happy Paul, Associate Professor, and Aditya Jadhav, Chairman-Admissions, TAPMI. The silver award winner was Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, for its study ‘Developing a Business Analytics Major’ by S Bhardwaj, Bala and Vasantha Balachandran. The bronze winner was Vivekanand Education Society Institute of Management Studies and Research (VESIM), Mumbai, for its study ‘Active Learning Through On-Field’ by Sandeep Bhardwaj, Dean – Academics.

In the ‘Experiential learning for meeting programme learning goals’, the gold winner was NMIMS University, Mumbai, for its study ‘We care – civic engagement internship, for developing socially sensitive managers’ presented by Meena Galliara, Director, Jasani Centre for Social Entrepreneurship & Sustainability Management, School of Business Management, NMIMS University.

The silver award winner was Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore for its study ‘Himalayan Outbound Programme (HOP)’ by Sanjay Choudhari, Faculty-in-Charge, HOP, IIM Indore.

The Bronze winner was PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore for its study ‘Teaching cross-cultural communication through theatre play – An experiential learning initiative’ by R Deepa, Assistant Professor, PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore.

Earlier, a session on ‘Leveraging Technology to Enhance Learning in MBA Program’ saw VG Narayanan, Professor and Chair, MBA Elective Curriculum at Harvard Business School speak on ‘Effective Use of Technology in MBA Curriculum & Pedagogy’ and PD Jose, Professor and Chairperson, Digital Learning, IIM Bangalore, speak on the role of MOOCs and digital platforms in MBA programme.
