Toyota-Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is set to recall 2,628 units of its multi-purpose vehicle Innova Crysta and Fortuner SUV to replace faulty fuel hose routing.
The recall covers only the petrol-powered models which were manufactured between July 18, 2016 and March 22, 2018.
“Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced a voluntary recall/special service campaign in India as a measure of abundant precaution.
“The company is implementing this recall in India to inspect fuel hose routing and correct if required for select/limited vehicles.
“This is applicable to gasoline models only,” a statement from the car maker said.
The company had also announced a voluntary recall in May for Innova Crysta, manufactured between April 2016 and January 2018, to inspect and repair the wire harness.
