Boutique resorts chain V Resorts has raised around $2 million (about Rs 12 crore) from Seedfund as it plans to add 4 more properties in its leisure resort portfolio.
“V Resorts, a chain of boutique resorts in offbeat destinations of India, has recently raised close to $2 million (about Rs 12 crore) in pre-series A funding from Seedfund,” the company said in a statement.
Over the next 5-6 months, the company is slated to add 4 more properties to its portfolio of leisure resorts and will be increasing its inventory from 80 to about 300 rooms, it added.
Commenting on the development V Resorts Co-Founder and Managing Director Aditi Balbir said: “We are excited about the avenues that this investment opens for the brand and are delighted with the confidence placed in us by Seedfund.”
“The strategy is to build various choices for travel around the major metros and focus on experience based holidays,” Seedfund Executive Director Shailesh Vikram Singh said.
Seedfund, an early stage venture capital fund manages a corpus of about $70 million across two funds. V Resorts currently manages 6 resorts in India.
