West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday said a development board would be formed for growth of tourism at Bakkhali, Namkhana, Fraserganj and Jharkhali in the Sundarbans.

A Rs 5-crore tourism circuit is on the anvil for comprehensive development of tourism encompassing all those areas, she said at a rally here on the second day of her visit to the Sundarbans.

A plan of action would be taken up soon involving hotel associations, district administration and police to help promote tourism in these areas. “We will monitor the progress,” she said.
