Vacation ownership and leisure hospitality company Sterling Holidays is opening its 19th resort, Dharamshala - The Sanctuary. The resort will start receiving guests from December 1.
The Sanctuary is a full-service resort with 26 furnished rooms, a multi-cuisine restaurant, bar and conference facilities. The company acquired this property on a long-term lease.
Commenting on this development, Ramesh Ramanathan, Managing Director, Sterling Holidays, said, “This is a significant step in our efforts to increase our resort network. In the next few months, we will be working to bring to fruition our plans to offer more scenic getaways across India.” Dharamshala is a city in the upper reaches of the Kangra Valley and is surrounded by dense coniferous forest. Dharamshala is the winter seat of the Himachal Pradesh Government, the district headquarters of Kangra district, and is also famous world over as the home to the Dalai Lama. It is known for its religious significance and is home to the largest Tibetan temple outside of Tibet.
With this addition, Sterling Holiday Resorts (India) Ltd has an inventory of 1,404 rooms spread across 19 resorts located in Corbett, Darjeeling, Dharamshala, Gangtok, Goa, Karwar, Kodaikanal, Lonavala, Manali, Munnar, Mussoorie, Ooty, Puri, Thekkady, Yelagiri and Yercaud.
