Bengaluru-based start-up TripFactory on Thursday launched a prepaid card ‘BOGO’ aimed at budget travellers looking for flexibility and convenience.
Starting at ₹4,999 for domestic leisure destinations such as Goa, inclusive of round ticket air fares, 4 days 3 nights stay, breakfast and all taxes, these cards are also available for eight international destinations for ₹19,999, the company said in a statement.
Vinay Gupta, Co-founder and Chairman, TripFactory, said, “Buying a holiday should be as simple as recharging your phone. That is where a fixed price BOGO card comes in, which is targeted at the value sensitive consumer, in all 2, 3, 4 and 5-star categories.”
The card offers flexibility to travel 200 days in a year at a fixed price. It can be redeemed for travel 14 days prior to the date of departure. It is valid for up to 12 months from the date of purchase.
On July 31, the company had announced that it had raised an undisclosed amount in Series A round led by Aarin Capital Partners (founded by Mohandas Pai and Ranjan Pai).
TripFactory is a real-time marketplace for travel, which allows consumers to buy products from wholesalers and suppliers seamlessly online. “Our team comprises 70 people currently and we plan to scale it up to a 400 people organisation by March 2016,” Gupta added.
