TUI Travel has announced the appointment of Mr. Shashank Shekhar Mishra as Assistant Vice President - Sports. The company in a release said that TUI India plans to venture into sports tourism by association with world class sporting events and Mr. Mishra will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives for the sports division of TUI India.
Speaking on the appointment, Mr. Raja Natesan, Chief Operating Officer, TUI India said, “Mr Shashank brings in immense industry expertise to build and grow the new sports vertical at TUI India. He will play a vital role in expanding the sports business for the company and help position TUI as a leader in the segment.”
Mr. Mishra, who has worked with companies like Kuoni, Thomas Cook, Cox & Kings and others said, “The travel industry in India is at an exciting phase and I am looking forward to my new innings at TUI India.”
