Zoomcar distributed over 500 bicycles to the less privileged citizens as part of their #CycleofLove campaign.
The self-driving platform gave away 200 bicycles each in Kolkata as well as Pune. They had partnered with the Rotary Club for the initiative. The firm also gave away 92 bicycles each in four different cities- Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, and Kolkata.
Greg Moran, Co-Founder & CEO of Zoomcar, said, “India celebrated the 70 Republic Day this year and yet there are sections of the society for whom the daily mobility is riddled with challenges. We sincerely hope that these bicycles will help people from the economically weaker sections of the society offer better access to basic amenities like hygiene, education etc.”
Zoomcar is India’s first self-drive mobility platform. It had introduced car sharing services in 2013 and cycle sharing services in 2017. It is headquartered in Bengaluru and operates in nearly 45 cities across India.
