Oil production in Russia, which is the world’s second largest producer, has gone up by 1.3 per cent in 2012 to reach 518.017 million tonnes, according to official data.
In 2012, the amount of crude oil supplied for refining increased by 3.5 per cent to 266.159 million tonnes.
Oil refining increased 3.6 per cent to 265.651 million tonnes.
Saudi Arabia is currently the largest producer of oil in the world.
Meanwhile, Russian oil exports went down by 1 per cent in 2012 and stood at 239.644 million tonnes. As many as 211.477 million tonnes were exported to countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and 28.166 million tonnes — to CIS countries, said data published by the central administration of the fuel and energy complex.
