I have been investing in Franklin India Focused Equity (earlier known as Franklin India High Growth Companies) for the past three years through the SIP route. I am not satisfied with the fund’s returns. Would you recommend getting out of the fund and investing in some other fund? I don’t have any need for the funds at the moment and can easily remain invested for more than 10 years.
Pankaj
You are quite right in your assessment that Franklin India Focused Equity has been underperforming over the past three years.
Over this time-frame, the fund has not only delivered much lower returns than its peer funds, it has also lagged behind its benchmark (Nifty 500 TRI). You can stop further SIPs in it. Start fresh investments in Kotak Standard Multicap or Mirae Asset India Equity, both quality schemes with robust long-term track records.
