What it does: Is a full service solar solutions provider with products such as rooftop systems, petrol pumps, solar water pumps and micro grids.
How it does it: Through a proprietary technology called Freyr SunPro that simplifies the entire sales and operations process. It works with the customer to help design a system that meets their technical, commercial, local net metering policy and area requirements in a matter of 15 minutes. It is different from the existing model where the entire process takes several weeks to months. Operation and design overheads are also 70 per cent lower due to automation.
Big moment: Receiving the first order worth over ₹8 crore, raising angel and institutional funding in less than six months of starting the company and using Freyr SunPro to rapidly expand presence across 10 states in India.
Impact: Have installed over 700 systems in two years across two countries, India and Ghana to customers such as home owners, farmers, educational institutions, hospitals, manufacturing companies and large blue chip solar companies. It has given over 10,000 students access to better quality education infrastructure, over 10,000 tribals/villagers access to electricity, 17,000 people in Ghana better healthcare infrastructure and over 8,000 citizens reliable access to drinking water supply
Vision: Provide clients customised systems at the lowest possible cost along with financing options; Leverage Freyr SunPro technology to expand the network across 25 countries in the next three years.
