WNS (Holdings) Limited, a business process management (BPM) company with two facilities in the city, is setting up another one in January, adding 500-600 jobs to the existing 1,100.

Keshav R Murugesh, WNS Group CEO, told the media here that the company had set up the local centre with only 45 employees in 2012 and it had grown by leaps and bounds. Employees in the centre here provide services to several Fortune 500 companies, he added.

He said the BPM sector had witnessed huge growth during the past decade and "the entire DNA of the industry is changing now." WNS was also forging ahead, with the present market capitalisation of $2 billion. "We have registered 20 per cent growth in revenues," he said.

He said there was great potential here during the next phase of BPM, and "the initiatives of the State Government, such as encouraging fintech and promoting block chain technology, would go a long way in branding Vizag as an IT destination.

He said the World IT Services Association in association with NASSCOM was holding a major international conference in Hyderabad in Feb, 2018, and the Vizag-based IT companies would also participate in it in a big way. It would give them a great business opportunity.
