Independent power producer Hero Future Energies (HFE) won solar PV projects of 38 megawatts (MW) out of the 300 MW solar power bid floated by the Madhya Pradesh Government.
HFE was selected as the highest successful bidder in the results announced on Wednesday. The difference in the tariff quoted by HFE in this bid and the lowest tariff is approximately Rs.0.59, according to a company statement.
“Winning this bid shows our commitment in the solar sector. I am happy to announce that HFE has landed the highest winning bid in MP,” said Rahul Munjal, Managing Director, HFE.
Munjal added that the company had won bids for rooftop solar projects across five States – Haryana, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Karnataka – under the erstwhile Solar Energy Corporation of India scheme.
“We continue to show our deep understanding of solar bidding to constantly win projects at viable VGFs and tariffs. We will continue to participate in all future bids including NSM,” said Sunil Jain, Chief Executive Officer, HFE.
