Animal healthcare firm Hester Biosciences Ltd, on Thursday, reported a 22% rise in net profit and 18% in sales in the third quarter of 2016-17, ended December 31, 2016, as compared to the corresponding period last fiscal.
While the company’s sales during the quarter were Rs.28.52 crore (Rs.24.17 crore), net profit stood at Rs. 5.80 crore (Rs.4.76 crore), according to a statement here.
The company recently launched Brucella vaccine for cattle. Its Nepal plant commenced commercial production in November 2016, Rajiv Gandhi, CMD, said.
Hester Biosciences, a listed animal biological manufacturer, is India’s second largest poultry vaccine manufacturer and also makes animal vaccines and health products. Its product portfolio comprises over 50 vaccines and 35 health products. It also exports to nine countries.
