Essar Ports Ltd today informed that India’s largest dry bulk vessel, MV Kiran, is berthed at Essar Bulk Terminal at Hazira in South Gujarat.
“MV Kiran, a 175,000 tonne DWT vessel, the largest dry bulk vessel in the Indian fleet, is berthed at Essar Bulk Terminal, Hazira, to discharge iron ore pellets. The vessel, owned by Essar Shipping, has a length of 281 metres and beam of 45 metres, making it the largest ship the terminal has handled till date,” the company informed in a statement issued on Thursday.
Essar Ports has a handling capacity of 104 MTPA at its three terminals at Hazira, Vadinar and Paradip.
