Tata Communications has posted a net loss of Rs 123.19 crore on a consolidated basis for the fourth quarter ended March 31, compared with a net loss of Rs 5.2 crore recorded during the same period a year ago.
During the quarter under review, the company’s total income rose to Rs 5,272.31 crore, compared with Rs 4,441.83 crore recorded during the same period a year ago, it said in a statement.
For the 12-month period ended March, the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 101.42 crore (net loss of Rs 623.31 crore in the year ago period) on a total income of Rs 19,809.20 crore (Rs 17,439.54 crore).
On a standalone basis, Tata Communications posted a net profit of Rs 123.34 crore (Rs 269.55 crore) for the quarter on a total income of Rs 1010.73 crore (Rs 1,218.62 crore).
Shares of Tata Communications closed up 3.20 per cent at Rs 285.65 on a strong BSE, which was up 1.36 per cent.
