The Indian School of Business (ISB) has launched Technology Entrepreneurship Programme (TEP) to equip select engineering students with skills to become entrepreneurs. The two-year programme would embed technology entrepreneurship education as part of their curriculum, making it easy for the students to learn the art and science of entrepreneurship.
ISB prepared the curriculum in consultation with the industry and other stakeholders.
The programme in Telangana was launched by the State Information Technology Minister K T Rama Rao at the ISB campus on Saturday.
“This programme will promote technology entrepreneurship and nurture the culture of entrepreneurship in the region,” the Minister said after launching the programme.
About 700 students have been handpicked after a rigorous selection process.
Talking on the TEP, ISB Dean Ajit Rangnekar said the initiative would quickly scale up entrepreneurial talent in the ecosystem.
About 2,000 students from 14 colleges have applied for the programme. “Of this, we selected 700 students,” an ISB spokesperson said in a press release.
Microsoft Ventures agreed to mentor the students, while Google provided technology communication platform.
