IT services major UST Global in collaboration with Innovation Experience has developed a solar lantern for distribution to schools.
Electricity Minister Aryadan Mohammed will hand over the lanterns to select students from Government schools in the Capital City here on Thursday.
Poetess Sugatha Kumari will deliver the welcome address at the function.
Alexander Varghese, country head, UST Global, will also address the gathering.
A spokesperson for UST Global said the lantern is made primarily of organic material.
The company has partnered with Innovation Experience with a view to spreading the vision of green technology in the State, the spokesperson added.
