Chinese restaurant chain Yo! China founder and Managing Director Ashish Kapur, along with his wife Meghana Kapur and partner Elisha Malhotra, launched an e-commerce venture, called dreamcanteen, to deliver gourmet food and ingredients in Delhi-NCR.
Kapur said, “There is a high demand for fine ingredients and imported food products in the country. This was a natural extension as we have an understanding of the food space as well as logistics to ensure safe and timely delivery, which led us to launch the online gourmet marketplace.”
The online store will offer premium quality cheese, oils, vinegars, coffees and chocolates besides other world cuisine products.
The company will follow a cluster approach and first focus on strengthening presence in the Northern region, in a bid to build a profitable business.
