Among the many buildings around the world that companies and brands own, some stand out for being innovative and imposing, quirky, or a combination of these. The famous Chrysler building in New York, declared a national historic landmark, is an example of the latter. True to its heritage of an automobile business, it has 1929 Chrysler radiator caps as corner ornamentation on the 31st floor. It was the headquarters of the Chrysler Corporation from 1930 until the mid-1950s.
The National Fisheries Development Board’s building in Hyderabad is built to look like a fish. The BMW Building in Munich is made of four tubes to mimic the look of a four-cylinder engine. French shipping group CMA CGM’s headquarters in Marseille is meant to look like a ship's sail. The Burj al Arab hotel in Dubai too is meant to look like a sail.
