Realty firm Ashiana Housing has reported a 19 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 43.86 crore in the 2010—11 fiscal from Rs 36.77 crore in the year ago period on higher sales.

The company’s sales and other income grew by 27 per cent to Rs 154.12 crore last fiscal from Rs 121.03 crore in the previous year.

The Delhi—based developer sold 1.35 million square feet of area in 2010—11, up 91 per cent compared to the previous fiscal, according to a presentation.

Ashiana Housing, which primarily focuses on development of retirement resorts, is targeting the sale of 1.6 million square feet of area this fiscal, it added.

At present, the company is developing seven projects, out of which three are in Jaipur and one each in Bhiwadi, Jodhpur, Jamshedpur and Pune. It is building a retirement resort at Lavasa township in Pune.
