Defence public sector Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), backed by strong order book has posted a 77.53 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 592.69 crore profits for the fourth quarter (Q4) of financial year 2012-13 compared with Rs 333.84 crore in the same period last year (2011-12).
The company’s revenues for Q4 grew 20.93 per cent to Rs 2,778.11 crore (Rs 2,297.23 crore). EPS was at Rs 74.09 (Rs 41.73).
For the whole year (FY2012-13), company’s profits were 7.56 per cent higher at Rs 910.77 crore compared with a net profit of Rs 846.74 crore during the previous year (2011-12). Revenues of the company were also up 6.06 per cent to Rs 6,273.01 crore (Rs 5,914.18 crore).
The company in addition to interim dividend of Rs 6 per share paid during the last quarter has declared a final dividend of Rs 16.30 per share.
