Harley-Davidson announced on Tuesday the launch of the new ‘Forty-Eight' model to its model portfolio in India at a price of Rs 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Available across all dealerships, bookings for the bike are to commence this month. The Forty-Eight is a factory custom of the hot rod Sportster line. It rides low with a slammed suspension and features the classic ‘peanut' fuel tank. It has a rubber-mounted Evolution 1,200 cc V-Twin engine, low solo seat, under-mounted mirrors, side mount license plate, clean rear fender and tall and fat front tyre. Harley-Davidson India commenced operations in August 2009 and currently offers 14 models.
