L&T Construction has won a $740 million (Rs 4,510 crore) order from Qatar Railway Company for the design and construction of the Gold Line of the Doha Metro Project in Qatar.
L&T secured the order with its joint venture partners. The total order for the joint venture is US $3.3 billion ( Rs 20,000 crore). The project, involving the design and construction of two tunnels of 11 kilometres and nine underground metro stations, is scheduled to be completed in 54 months.
