Malaysia-based fuel additive maker M7 Technology plans to enter India with its palm oil-based additive product and has zeroed in on Hyderabad as its base for its Indian operations.

Mr Venkata R. Rallabandi, Director (Marketing), M7 Technology (India), said the additive has been launched in Malaysia, China and Australia.

The product has been tested to result in fuel savings of 20 per cent for heavy vehicles, 30-35 per cent for three wheelers and cars, and 40-45 per cent for two wheelers, he said.

M7 additives function by atomisation of the fuel particles. “In other words, the product increases the surface area of fuel particles so that more oxygen is available to the fuel and, as a result, 100 per cent combustion of the fuel occurs,” he said.
