Toyota Kirloskar on Friday said supply of engines for its various models have not been affected because of the quake.
“There will be no stoppage of engines for the Indian plant from Japan and we have been assured of the supplies,” a spokesperson for the company told Business Line .
Toyota Kirloskar sources all its requirements of engines from some of the plants of Toyota in Japan.
For the latest Etios model which is being produced in India, Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts near Bangalore will start supplying engines and engine parts in the third quarter of 2012 for which it is currently constructing a Rs 500-crore manufacturing plant.
