Two- and three-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto has posted a 6 per cent decline in domestic sales in February, with the company selling a total of 3,13,294 vehicles during the month.
The Pune-based company sold a total of 3,32,387 vehicles during the same month a year ago, the company said in a statement.
Bajaj Auto’s total motorcycle sales also fell 6 per cent to 2,73,323 units (from 2,91,297), while its commercial vehicles sales dipped 3 per cent to 39,971 units (41,090).
However, the company’s exports rose 5 per cent to 1,42,009 vehicles (1,35,149), the highest-ever exports for February in any year, it added.
At 13:30 pm, Bajaj Auto’s shares were trading 1.48 per cent lower at ₹1914.00 in a weak Mumbai market.
