General Motors India sales declined 27.01 per cent to 6,079 units during May this year against 8,329 units sold in the same month of 2011.
Last month, the company had sold 735 units of small car Spark, 4,110 units of hatchback Beat, 71 units of entry-level sedan Aveo, 7 units of mid-sized sedan Optra and 188 units of luxury sedan Cruze.
It also sold 946 units of multi-purpose vehicle Tavera and 22 units of sports utility vehicle Captiva.
General Motors India has completed 16 years of operation in India, starting its journey in 1996. The automobile major now offers products under the Chevrolet brand, which was introduced in India in 2003.
