With the digitisation clock ticking, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has set up a control room to facilitate the transition to digitisation.The toll room is linked with the toll free telephone number 1-800-180-4343. The control room will function on all days and address and clarify queries from television consumers of the four metros relating to getting set-top boxes and other information about schemes and package rates.
Representative of the five national MSOs — DEN, In Cable, Hathway, Digi Cable, and Siti Cable — will also be available to address specific queries relating to their respective networks/services. New Delhi, Mumbai , Chennai and Kolkata need to install set-top boxes before November 1 to be able to watch television channels.
