JSW Steel Ltd today reported a marginal rise in its crude steel production at 13.43 lakh tonnes for October 2017.
The company had produced 13.35 lakh tonnes of crude steel for the same month a year ago.
The production of long rolled products also fell by 8 per cent to 2.58 lakh tonnes last month from 2.79 lakh tonnes in October 2016, it added.
However, the production of flat rolled products registered a 2 per cent growth at 9.77 lakh tonnes in October 2017 as compared to 9.58 lakh tonnes in the corresponding period last year.
JSW Steel, the flagship company of the over $ 11 billion JSW Group, is among the world’s most illustrious steel companies and is India’s leading primary integrated steel producer.
Shares of the company ended 0.55 per cent up at Rs 263.15 on BSE.
