Kirloskar Brothers on Tuesday reported a 24.93 per cent fall in net profit after tax for the quarter ended December 31, 2011, to Rs 12.68 crore.
The company had posted a net profit after tax of Rs 16.89 crore during the corresponding period of last fiscal, Kirloskar Brothers said in a filing to the BSE.
The company’s total income, however, increased by 8.28 per cent to Rs 420.59 crore during the quarter from Rs 388.43 crore in the year—ago period.
Shares of the company closed 7.45 per cent higher at Rs 139.25 apiece on the BSE today.
