McNally Bharat Engineering Co Ltd has bagged an order worth Rs 280.7 crore from a South African miner Sephaku Fluoride Ltd for setting up a 0.6 million fluorspar concentrate plant.
The miner is a subsidiary of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange listed Sphaku Holdings Ltd.
Sephaku Fluoride has a fluorspar mine that consists of three contiguous haematite-fluorspar deposits, namely Plattekop, Outwash Fan, and Wilton deposits located on the north of Pretoria.
The proposed mine is located in the Gauteng Province of South Africa. Sephaku Holdings plans to develop the mine, producing acid grade (97.2% CaF2) fluorspar.
McNally Bharat Engineering is to erect the plant at the mine site within 16 months from now.
For the BM Khaitan Group engineering company, this is the biggest value export order. The company’s order book now stands at Rs. 4,120 crore, including deemed orders (L1 status) of Rs 393 crore.
