Mercedes-Benz India has recorded an annual growth of 32 per cent during 2013, with sales at 9,003 units against 6,840 units in 2012, making the year just gone by the luxury car maker’s best ever for retail sales in the country.
The company registered 16 per cent growth in the first half of 2013, but saw sales during the second-half grow by 45 per cent mainly on the back of new products in the compact category.
Year of offensiveEberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said: “We are very satisfied with our performance in 2013 which we called the ‘Year of Offensive’.
“We are happy that our New A-Class, New E-Class & the SUV portfolio saw a robust demand amidst challenging market conditions.
“Our consumers have clearly appreciated our initiatives and we enter 2014 with a clear promise of delivering excellence.”
The ‘Year of Offensive’ focused on the four pillars of Products, Network, Cost of Ownership and Brand experiences.
