Kochi-based pharma company Nitta Gelatin India Ltd (NGIL) today announced the Tamil Nadu launch of Gelixer CollagenPep, a food supplement for osteoarthritis.

This was part of NGIL’s efforts while moving from a B2B (Business-to-Business) to B2C (Business-to-Consumer) platform, Managing Director G. Suseelan told pressperons here.

A joint venture of the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) and Japanese firm Nitta Gelatin Inc, NGIL planned to “aggressively” promote the latest product across the country in a phased manner, he said.

NGIL was one of the few Government companies to move from being a B2B to a B2C company he said, adding it was producing gelatin both for domestic and international vendors.

“CollagenPep (under the brand Gelixer) is our first effort while getting into the B2C domain and more products are in the pipeline,” he said while claiming the product had gained “wide acceptance,” in Kerala.

Chennai consumers will be offered the product in orange and vanilla flavours, he added.
