NTPC Ltd on Friday reported a seven per cent year-on-year growth in net profit for the third quarter of fiscal 2014-15. Net profit for the quarter stood at Rs 3,074 crore as against Rs 2,861 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company said in a statement that the profit is the highest recorded by the company for the third quarter.
The increase in profit came despite a marginal drop in net revenue. The company's net revenue for the quarter stood at Rs 19,339 crore as against Rs 19,589 crore in the same quarter last year.
