M Ponnuswami, Chairman and Managing Director of Pon Pure, manufacturer of chemicals and allied products, was today elected as Chairman, CII Tamil Nadu, State Council for 2018-19, the CII release said here.
Prior to taking up his new role, he was CII Vice-Chairman. He was also the Convenor, Membership panel, the release added.
Pon Pure Chemical, engaged in manufacturing chemicals and allied products, has 28 branches across the country.
At its meeting here today,Tractors and Farm Equipment Ltd. (TAFE), President and Group CFO S Chandramohan was elected as Vice-Chairman.
Chandramohan is Chairman of CII Southern Region, Agriculture and Food Processing Task Force.
He had also served CII Chennai Zone as its Chairman in 2015-16 and served the Finance and Taxation Sub-Committee as its Chairman, the release added.
