SKF India has inaugurated its third SKF solution factory at Jamshedpur. The unit will operate as a satellite unit and cater to customers in the eastern part of India. SKF main facility – the central solution factory is in Pune while it has a satellite unit in Manesar to cater to customers in the northern region.
The Jamshedpur facility will focus on manufacturing of customised machined seals for hydraulic cylinders, basic hydraulic cylinder repair and maintenance related training solutions from SKF.
This factory will focus on the metals and mining industry in the eastern part of India with competencies across SKF’s technology platforms and specific asset management and maintenance services.
Shishir Joshipura, Managing Director, SKF India Ltd, said, “We see services as one of the key drivers of growth, complementing our product range. The Jamshedpur factory will play a pivotal role in bringing integrated solutions at customer’s doorstep by providing asset management solutions, resulting in higher speed of service deployment for our customers in the eastern region.”
