Online marketplace Snapdeal.com has entered the services space with the launch of an online learning and education category.
Consumers can search for a wide assortment of test preparation material, certificate courses, classroom training and online courses on Snapdeal.
Users preparing for the civil services entrance examination, the IIT-JEE or if one is looking for certification in Java, Microsoft or wealth management, all the required e-learning materials will now be available on Snapdeal.com.
Brands such as Edukart, Simplilearn, Meritnation, EasySkillz, Practice Guru and Test Funda have already started listing their e-learning packages on Snapdeal and others are in the process of doing so.
Rishabh Arora, AVP, Snapdeal.com said, "We realise that although there are hundreds of institutes and brands offering study material or certification, the Indian market lacks one go-to destination where all possible study material is accessible. With this initiative, we have brought together many major brands of online courses on one platform."
The idea was to enable consumers to cut through the clutter of endless Web sites to find the ideal online learning materials, test papers or courses, to find what they need in the verified, reliable, high trust environment of Snapdeal, he added.
Through the launch of this category, Snapdeal is also enabling large and small organisations who have great e-learning content but currently lack nationwide distribution, which Snapdeal can offer them through its more than 20 million users.
One simply needs to log on to Snapdeal.com and purchase a voucher for the preferred course or preparation material. The user receives a username and password along with instructions to get started in less than 24 hours of the purchase, the firm said in a statement.
