South India Paper Mills' profits fell 43 per cent at Rs 1.57 crore during the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012, compared with Rs 2.76 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The company’s revenues were up by a marginal 4.36 per cent to Rs 41.12 crore (Rs 39.40 crore).
EPS stood at Rs 1.05 (Rs 1.84).
Full-year results
For 2011-12, the company's profits were up 10.95 per cent to Rs 15.39 crore against Rs 13.87 crore in the previous fiscal. Revenues were up 2.24 per cent at Rs 170.40 crore (Rs 166.66 crore).
The South India Paper Mills stock was up 7.65 per cent at Rs 39.40 on the BSE in morning trade.
