Lighting equipment firm Surya Roshni has announced the setting up of a laboratory and research centre, specifically aimed a boosting LED (light emitting diode) lighting systems in the country. The Centre – Surya Technology & Innovation Centre (STIC) –is equipped with the most advanced photometric laboratory and houses a “high speed automatic mirror gonio-photometer” from LMT, Germany, the company said in a statement.
The equipment, installed at the Centre for light measurement and optical evaluation for both conventional lighting systems as well as for LED-based lighting solutions, will act as catalyst for the growth of LED lighting in the country, the company said.
