Chinese technology firm TCL Multimedia has partnered with Flipkart for exclusive launch of its smart TV brand iFFALCON in India.
The brand will be launched on April 26.
iFFALCON is designed for the Indian market by FFALCON Technology Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of TCL Multimedia and was co-invested in by Tencent Digital, a globally-leading internet content provider, according to a press release.
TCL is ranked third in the global consumer electronics and LCV TV space with a market share of 10.9 per cent.
iFFALCON is equipped with Android 7 and has partnered with content providers such as YouTube, Netflix, and Eros Now. Mike Chen, Country Manager – TCL India, said in the press statement that though there are multiple brands offering smart home entertainment in India, they don’t deliver holistic experience new-age consumers want and hence viewers often opt for third-party offerings and add-ons. “This need-gap is what iFFALCON is solving by catering to India’s end-to-end home entertainment requirements and providing a truly smart home entertainment experience,” he added.
